Small Congregations Series: Steps for the Future Webinar Jan. 21

Updated: 2 days ago

Small Congregations Series: Steps for the Future Manageable, meaningful steps into a more connected future Wednesday, January 21 | 2:00–3:00 p.m. Eastern | Webinar

Small congregations carry a deep sense of faithfulness, history, and care for one another. They also carry big questions about the future. How do we invite new people without feeling awkward or overwhelmed? How do we strengthen hospitality and help people move from visitor to belonging? And how do we do all of this in ways that fit the size, capacity, and culture of our church?

Invite Welcome Connect’s next webinar in the Small Congregations Series, Steps for the Future, is designed precisely for those questions.

On Wednesday, January 21, presenters Mary MacGregor and Canon Jenni Faires will offer practical, realistic guidance for small churches seeking to grow in evangelism, hospitality, and connectedness without trying to become something they are not. This webinar focuses on the Invite essential with manageable, faithful steps that help congregations build toward a more connected future, one decision and practice at a time.

A key feature of this session is a walk-through of an Invite Welcome Connect congregational assessment tool, created specifically with small congregations in mind. Mary and Jenni will show how churches can use this assessment to establish a baseline, identify strengths, and pinpoint clear opportunities for improvement in evangelism, hospitality, and how people are invited into deeper connection. The tool is designed to reduce guesswork and replace it with shared understanding and next steps your congregation can actually take.

Whether you are clergy, vestry, a hospitality leader, or simply someone who cares about your church’s future, this webinar offers insight grounded in real congregational experience. Mary MacGregor brings decades of national leadership in congregational vitality, while Canon Jenni Faires serves as Canon for Evangelism and Church Vitality in the Diocese of Southwestern Virginia, working closely with churches navigating change and possibility.
