More Than On Demand: Every Diocesan Subscription Comes With a Welcome

Every diocese that subscribes to Invite Welcome Connect On Demand receives more than a library of videos, guides, and tools. They receive a welcome.

As part of every diocesan subscription, Executive Director Steve Welch offers a live, online introduction to the Invite Welcome Connect ministry and to the On Demand resources themselves. These sessions are designed to help diocesan leaders, clergy, and lay leaders understand not just what the resources are, but how they can be woven into the daily life, ministry, and culture of congregations across the diocese.

Think of it as a guided tour rather than a map left at the door. 🧭

What happens in these online introduction sessions?

Each session provides a clear, accessible overview of:

• The theology and purpose behind Invite Welcome Connect

• How the three essentials of Invite, Welcome, and Connect work together as a ministry of evangelism and belonging

• What resources are available On Demand, including videos, discussion guides, and training tools

• Practical ways dioceses and congregations can use these materials for vestries, ministry teams, newcomer ministries, and diocesan-wide initiatives

The Invite Welcome Connect team provides dioceses with tools to register attendees and promote participation in the online welcome sessions

There is also time for questions, conversation, and reflection, so participants can immediately connect the resources to their own context.

The Invite Welcome Connect team handles everything, from scheduling the online meeting, taking registrations, creating promotion graphics, and distributing the recording link to registrants after the meeting is complete.

January sessions already scheduled

We are delighted to begin the new year with online introduction sessions scheduled for:

• The Diocese of Southern Virginia

• The Diocese of Rhode Island

• The Diocese of Albany

These sessions are open to members of those dioceses and are part of their existing On Demand subscriptions. Additional upcoming sessions are listed on our events page.
